LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
PURPOSE
The purpose of the lifetime achievement award
is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychologist who has had
state level impact on the field of school psychology and who has dedicated
his or her professional life to the development and betterment of school psychology.
JUDGING CRITERIA
- “professional lifetime” or at least 20 years
of direct service to children, schools, and families
- current member of UASP or a long standing regular member
of UASP during their professional career
- demonstrated service to the profession through training,
teaching, developing curriculum, or advocacy that contributed to the knowledge
base of the field
- adhered to the professional and ethical standards of
UASP throughout career
PROCEDURES
This award is the responsibility of the awards
committee and is one that could be sent to NASP for national recognition. Nomination
packet should include:
- completed nomination form
- one page nomination statement
- one to three letters of support written by individuals
knowledgeable about the candidate’s capabilities
- candidate’s statement
- candidate’s vita
