SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST OF
THE YEAR AWARD
PURPOSE
The purpose of the School Psychologist of the
Year Award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychologist
and to promote public awareness of the profession.
JUDGING CRITERIA
- UASP member in good standing
- Licensed to practice school psychology by USOE
- Currently practicing in the field of school psychology
- Provided a range of school psychological services (consultation,
behavior management, assessment, group training, . . .)
- Has respect of fellow workers, students, and/or parents
as is evident in letters of support
- Adhered to the professional standards and ethics of UASP
throughout career
PROCEDURES
This award is the responsibility of the awards
committee and is one that could be sent to NASP for national recognition. Nomination
packet should include:
- completed nomination form
- one page nomination statement
- one to three letters of support written by individuals
knowledgeable about the candidate’s capabilities
- candidate’s statement
- candidate’s vita
