School Psychology Student of the Year Award

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

PURPOSE

The purpose of the School Psychology Student of the Year award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychology student and to promote public awareness of the profession.

JUDGING CRITERIA

UASP student member in good standing
Current student in school psychology
NOT a certified school psychologist
Outstanding academic achievement and leadership
Demonstrated participation in UASP activities

PROCEDURES

This award is the responsibility of the awards committee. The following are suggestions for how the committee should determine the winner of this award.

Send early notice to trainers throughout the state to nominate a student from their program for the award
No formal nomination packet is required, but trainer or their representative making the nomination should be prepared to present the nominee to the Board and complete the Nomination Form
