Call for nominations for awards to be presented at the UASP Midwinter Conference February 2007.
 Please consider nominating a colleague who you feel has made an outstanding contribution.

Award Nomination form is at the bottom of the page as well as at the bottom of each award information page.

 

UASP AWARDS

Each year the Utah Association of School Psychologists honors those who have made an outstanding contribution to the goals and standards of our profession though our annual awards program. Outlined below are the rules and procedures for making nominations and for determining winners.

 

RULES

  • Nominations must be for a specific award
  • Nomination materials must be typed
  • Nomination packets are different for the different awards but may include:
  • completed nomination form
  • one page nomination statement
  • one to three letters of support written by individuals knowledgeable about the candidate’s capabilities
  • candidate’s statement
  • candidate’s vita

 

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

PURPOSE

The purpose of the lifetime achievement award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychologist who has had state level impact on the field of school psychology and who has dedicated his or her professional life to the development and betterment of school psychology.

BARBARA BENNETT EXCELLENCE IN DIVERSITY AWARD

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Barbara Bennett Excellence in Diversity Award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychologist who has provided leadership and advocacy for the treatment of diverse populations with respect within the field of school psychology.


SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST OF THE YEAR AWARD

PURPOSE

The purpose of the School Psychologist of the Year Award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychologist and to promote public awareness of the profession.


 SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

PURPOSE

The purpose of the School Psychology Student of the Year award is to identify and recognize an outstanding school psychology student and to promote public awareness of the profession.
